The witcher 2 enhanced edition installation problems

Sometimes the bigger games get corrupted when downloading, and I think the Witcher might be the biggest game on GOG. Where are you installing to? You might want to avoid the Program Files directory as it has extra protections under Windows 7 that might prevent the files from copying correctly. Theoretically running as administrator bypasses this, but it might be worth trying anyway.

And thanks for the heads-up, I'm in the process of cleaning up a little It would have been nice if the GOG installer warned about the free space on the system drive of course cause it might come as unexpected provided that the installer allows installation to any drive and it only lists requirements for the drive one is installing to - so, even if the system drive has MB of space remaining and you install on another drive which has, say, 20 GB, the installer will try to install and will fail , assuming that the space is enough So you really should be manually deleting them periodically anyway.

Posted May 19, Hey, everyone. I am pretty new to GOG but I need some help. I have over 15 games in my library and have never experienced any difficulties playing any of them until I purchased and downloaded The Witcher Enhanced Edition.

It downloaded normally and everything but when I started up the game, it pulled up the Basic Title box and I clicked on Launch Game.

Everytime that I do this it states thet the Minimum System requirements have not been met. This is a newish laptop and has gobs of free memory. I have no clue why this is happening. Put the wanted language packs and adventures in the new folder that the unpacking process created, so that SETUP. EXE and the patch packs are in the same folder. Authentication, installation and modification all should go ahead with no problems, modification will take some time though.

When i want to install the EE patch, on the moment to activate, i put the same login and password as for this forum.. And i get "Unable to connect to remote server so i guess my login password doesn't even have to do with that. Is there a problem with the activation server?

My only has a save and the same thing happens. My Windows is 8. Scathia Rookie 2, May 17, I downloaded it, played it, enjoyed it and saved it. The next day when I went back wanting to play some more, I couldn't get passed the game menu with new game, saved game, etc options. I'd log into Steam, the game would start, the strigoi scene would play in its entirety regardless of whether or not I wanted it to and then when the game menu came up, it would just freeze becoming completely unresponsive even to keyboard controls etc.

I've tried the patches, etc though I see as well that the Steam version is already patched I'm on 8. Is there some other issue I'm overlooking here or is this about the O. PC specs are far above min requirements, so that shouldn't be an issue. I'd like to keep playing, so any help would be much appreciated.
