Even though "running as administrator" solves the installation and syncing issue, the problem is that my Dropbox somehow gets uninstalled by itself and I have to reinstall it as administrator almost once every couple of days.

Ive checked for virus a dozen times but theres nothing. I even deleted the entire dropbox folder once after which allowed me to uninstall Dropbox from Control Panel, then reinstalled as administrator. Still the same situation persists. Let me know if anyone else is also having to reinstall Dropbox every few days. I was getting the same error with Dropbox and I tried Nigel's way as well and it worked. I even managed to uninstall it by running it as an administrator. That worked as well.
